| Business activity | MBH Mortgage Bank Plc. (formerly Takarék, and even before FHB Mortgage Bank Plc.) has been playing a significant role in the Hungarian mortgage lending, refinancing and also the most active covered bond issuer on the domestic capital market since its foundation in 1997. At the time of the foundation, its principal business activities were to refinance the development and purchases of housing real estates and also the disbursement of state subsidised housing loans. The Bank made the mortgage-based financing country-wide available through direct sales, its agent network, as well as its refinancing partner banks. The Mortgage Bank was a member of the Takarék Group between 2015-2023 and from 1st of May 2023 became a member of MBH Group. Meanwile its activity has also changed: it exclusively refinances mortgage loans. The shares of the MBH Mortgage Bank Plc. are traded on the Budapest Stock Exchange since November 2003 and the majority of the covered bonds and senior unsecured bonds issued by the MBH Mortgage Bank are also listed securities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
